I am 20. I go to the University of Pittsburgh. I study film. My favorite kind of movies are OVERLY DEPRESSING ones. If I cry, I'm probably going to give the movie 5 stars out of 5. My other interests include playing the ukulele, among other instruments like the melodica, piano, lap harp, accordion, and glockenspiel. I also enjoy taking hellof photos of people, but don't get a lot of opportunities to. My favorite music at the moment includes Björk, Julia Nunes, Regina Spektor, Camille, and The Dresden Dolls. I veer between vanity and self-loathing so half the time I’ll have a dozen pictures of some cliché myspace pout as I prance about, and the rest of the time I’ll be lacking and avatar and all my pictures will be gone.

And I enjoy nutella as I’m sure most of you know, however, I do dislike it when people like Tim pronounce it wrong.

Sometimes Kristen pronounces McDonalds wrong (aka all the time) because I spell phonetically so I put it MacDonalds and she says it MickDonalds but really to go back to my original point it doesn’t matter because I like her ;-;

In New Zealand I had an orange tree and lemon tree next to my balcony and I would take the fruit and draw faces on them in sharpie marker: that’s the kind of person I am. Plus it was cute and so now I always want to draw faces on fruit at fruit markets.

I really like pizza, too, pizza is amazing. If I’m being mardy (moody) and don’t eat my parents get me pizza which is good.

I don’t know why I’m writing like this because I’m actually really eloquent ;-; I’m in the Gifted and Talented register of England for English but it kind of bores me. I like art too much, as in lying in bed at night I think about art projects. I also like photography a lot.

My vocabulary consists of words and phrases none of you will know: lolly-gagging about, real horror show, pint of cider, cup of kia-ora, what a fox, cosmopolitan!, ‘and a half’ added to amazing things, stellar, the moon in the square, slig, sket, brillo-pads and tres chic au tres faux.

I spell my name with my food, like spagetti and on my greek yogurt with honey.

Heyhi, I'm Dan.

I'm 23 years old. My favorite color varies between blue, red, and yellow. I like to play computer games but I don't as much as I use to. I pretty much can find humor in anything in life and that often puts people off. It feels weird to talk about myself. I often write about a lot of things I want to say but end up deleting it. Everything seems so much clearer in my mind but it never makes sense when I try to pull it out. I forget things easily and I feel really bad when I have to ask you to repeat something you already told me about. I have 31 unread messages in my Facebook account because the unexpected scares me. I really like sushi but I can't eat it for a while because I started being a vegetarian last December. I'm studying Psychology in school. I'm Elisabeth, with an s. That's what happens when you have Swedish parents. I live in Minnesota, I'm 18 years old and I like to think that I'm quirky. The above is my favorite picture of me and one of the few that I haven't grown to get sick of after seeing it a lot.
I'm going to college next year and I'm not sure if I feel more excited or nervous about it at this point. I'm more than ready to be done with high school, but at the same time, moving away from the house I've always lived in and leaving my friends will be rather difficult. I don't hear back from most of the schools I applied to for another month or so, so I have no idea where I'm going at this point.
I have a very nerdy way of talking sometimes, and my friends make fun of me for it. For example, "How does one go about calculating K sub a?"
I really want to be an editor, but I don't read all that much, which obviously presents a problem.
I've played piano since I can remember, though I'm not nearly as good as I think I should be. Most of the time, I can't be bothered to really polish things, although I do enjoy playing.
I drive my brother's Ford Taurus that breaks down far too often. Fortunately, I have a friend who usually doesn't mind taking me wherever I need to go.

I don't hate anyone. I believe when people act like shits it's because of something difficult they've gone through that has made them that way. Perhaps that's naive, but it's how I make the world seem less crappy.

I like to do maths past papers to chill out. Most people think I'm weird because of this. I like how black and white maths is, because few things in this world are.

I used to like writing, but when I was 9 my teacher humiliated me in front of my class over a story I wrote. It knocked my confidence so much I didn't write unless it was absolutely required, for fear it would not be good enough. I'm going to try and start writing again soon.

I oppose the grading and judgement in schools of writing and art, because both are subjective. It's the luck of the draw which examiner reads/sees it and therefore what grade you are given.

I love photographs and capturing a miniscule moment in time. My dad likes to critique my photos because he was a photographer. My mum says he's just threatened. She was a photographer, too.

I like to read books where the characters are facing some kind of crisis. I yearn to understand people on a deeper level.

This is my senior picture. I have mixed feelings about it. And it's such shitty quality becuase it's a picture of a picture.


I enjoy art. Photography makes my heart smile, but these days I can't seem to find the energy or inspiration for it. It used to be what I wanted to do with my life. Now I'm fairly sure I'm not good enough.

I have social anxiety and depression. I'm at the tiniest school in the world. My graduating class is 13. It's a big, dysfunctional, silly family. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I'm a complete Momma's girl. No question. Sometimes, when I'm feeling bad, I just go in to whatever room she's in, and ask if we can cuddle. That might be a little wierd, but whatever. I'm chill with that. My dad's a big dork, and we don't talk about important stuff, but I still love him. I have an older brother, who still lives at home. My three female cousins complete my life.

I'm seventeen, and graduating in 104 days. In 109 days, I'm spending three weeks in Europe (Italy and England) with my best friend and her family.
